Curious about attachment styles but want to go deeper than reading about it in a book? Even if you don’t know what I mean by attachment styles, this offering could still be for you. Drawing from my academic training in psychology alongside my diverse somatic explorations, I will weave didactic teachings and experiential exercises to provide a broad and (importantly!) embodied understanding of attachment styles. This offering will provide a chance to unpack your earliest experiences with attachment figures (even experiences that live in you from before any conscious memories). We will examine how you exhibit each of the four styles (secure, anxious, avoidant and disorganized), and explore the path back to security with self, other and the more-than-human world.
This is an intimate closed group of 8-10 participants that will meet weekly on Saturday mornings (10am-1pm) from February 1 - March 22nd (with only one absence allowed). In addition, we will have an optional improvised performance for a small group of invitees the Sunday after our last class, March 23rd (I know this may be an edge, but it is an extremely powerful part of the work to embody and be witnessed in the transformation).
Participation in this project will involve an interview with me beforehand – primarily to discuss commitment to the container and a review of your resourcing strategies + capacities. This is deep work – essentially shadow exploration – and is comparable to a group therapy experience. It requires a committed and resourced group to create the collective security necessary for this undertaking..

Reciprocity is as follows:
Welcome: $300 - For folks with tight finances at the moment
Reciprocity: $600 - The standard price for this offering that covers an equal exchange for the space and facilitation.
Supporter: $900 - For folks who can pay more - thank you for supporting us to offer lower cost spots to those who need it.
(Consider at 8 sessions, this is still far less than a standard therapy session).
Note: A quarter of all proceeds will be donated towards the Rincon (the community gathering hub at Village Seed, which will serve this broader community at gatherings and future events).

About Me:
I’ve been a licensed mental health counselor for 10 years, and deeply value play and experimentation. Trained originally in Existential and Phenomenological psychotherapy, my journey has led me increasingly towards the world of somatics and experiential modalities (including Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, EMDR and Play therapy). I worked in community mental health with kids and families for several years before starting my own private practice working with adults. One of my greatest joys in life is accompanying someone in welcoming back a previously exiled aspect of their being.
Beyond psychology, the exploration of the body has led me toward dance, especially ecstatic dance and contact improv. I have trained with contact improv teachers around the world, and find this practice to offer a chance for deep attunement to self and other. I love to find ways to weave psychology and embodiment together – I just recently co-facilitated a workshop exploring platonic touch through the lens of Internal Family Systems.
I am also committed to interpersonal skill-building and culture development – I focus a lot of my time helping support the relational field and budding culture at Village Seed, an intentional community where I live (and in which I currently plan to grow old). Discovering belonging in a grounded and committed way is fundamentally altering how I think about self, other and the more-than-human world.
