I'm excited to announce that the annual youth Ember conference is quickly approaching and we are thrilled to attend for our sixth consecutive year! If your son or daughter has not attended an Ember weekend with us before, we ask that you please prayerfully consider them attending with us this upcoming year as it is always a very moving weekend for all students and adults who attend. If your student has attended with us before, we hope and pray that they are able to join us again!This conference brings in youth groups from churches all over the Memphis, North Mississippi and Northeast Arkansas areas. Faith Baptist does a wonderful job hosting this weekend each year and we are very thankful for their work. Please pray for the leaders and volunteers at Faith as they have already hit the ground running with preparing for this weekend for your kids and students all over the mid-south.
Below is information regarding the weekend:
Dates: February 14th-16th
Location: Faith Baptist Bartlett
Price: $65 (includes attending cost, food, and t-shirt)
Theme Verses: 2 Timothy Chapter 1, Verses 6-7. Living a life without Fear and Anxiety

The conference include three sessions that are each full of worship, games, and the preaching of God's Word. The theme this year is a focus on the major issue that we all and especially the youth of today are facing which is fear and anxiety. As you all are probably aware and have experienced, studies have shown that anxiety and depression rates have skyrocketed in recent years with the increase of social media and device use and this has largely impacted the youth of today.
We are praying this weekend will be an opportunity for all students and adults who attend to see that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life and that a relationship with Him is our only source of true joy and peace and to embrace that He calls us to fan into flame the spiritual gifts He has given us.
Regarding sleeping arrangements for the weekend, the boys will stay upstairs in the Fusion room again this year and the girls will be staying at Jenny and Rick's home.
I will send out a rough schedule for the weekend in the next few weeks in a follow up email but on that Friday night, the 14th, parents will drop off their students at Harvest and we will then caravan to Faith Bartlett. It will be a three-day, two-night weekend as there will be a session at Faith Bartlett on Friday night, two on Saturday and then Sunday morning, we will have Bible study at Harvest before the worship service. Pick up will be on Sunday, the 16th at Harvest after church.
Students are encouraged to invite friends! The more the merrier. Please let me know if you have any questions!
