About this Event
Are you fully leveraging the power of your local history in your curriculum? If not, you could be missing out on an incredible opportunity to captivate your students with real, relatable history that speaks directly to their lives. We invite History, Humanity, and Curriculum Leads to a full day of **free** training designed to transform how you teach history.
This session is part of an enriching series that will equip you with the skills to seamlessly integrate your unique local history into the curriculum. By attending, your school will receive a bespoke map and aerial photograph pack, along with hands-on training on how to creatively use these materials to engage your students. You'll also gain invaluable insights into developing a comprehensive local history unit, complete with additional resources and ongoing support.
The day culminates in an immersive heritage trail around central Leicester, where you’ll discover the hidden histories of the area and learn to use ‘standing archaeology’ as powerful primary evidence in your lessons. Don’t miss this chance to bring history to life for your students and inspire them with the rich stories of their own community.
