Register at https://forms.gle/xxoeuRs42tYTjf1d7Join DanceAbility Detroit's movement and sound improvisations at the DIA from 1pm to 3pm on Thursday July 11th. ALL ABOARD in the Great Hall, where we'll introduce ourselves through moving (and pausing) in all our different ways, dancing with live musicians. Then we'll sail to another port, traveling at a pace that works for all, improvising with the art around us and the public who may join us. We'll end the day at a sculpture outside the museum, weather permitting. Give yourself plenty of time to park and/or arrive at the Great Hall at 1pm if you want to take the whole voyage! We'll disembark around 3pm.

--Need a ride? We'll do our best to organize carpooling and professional transportation support to and from the museum for people who can't get there themselves. Free parking in the museum lot for those who register. Let the guard know you're with DANCEABILTY.
--ASL interpretation provided for the entire event upon request.
--Manual wheelchairs and power scooters also provided upon request.
DanceAbility movement improvisation can be high-energy or slow and gentle, so come as you are. This program is for people OF ALL AGES with and without disabilities, with and without formal dance training to co-create dance in a diverse community. We'll practice sensing ourselves and one another to create dynamic dance/soundscapes together. Discover new possibilities to move through the world!
Suggested donation to participate is $0-$30 for adults, children are free. Economic Justice pricing--pay what you can if you can. DanceAbility Detroit is supported by Detroit Disability Power, the Michigan Arts & Culture Council, and by donated tuition from participants.
