About this Event
Making disciples looks different for different individuals, but overall, there is a structure on how to form others in following Christ. Three key moments to that rhythm are the Kerygma, the Didache, and Liturgia.
These steps are proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ, being formed on how to live in the shadow of the Master, and how to worship rightly and justly. Embark is an opportunity to pause and refocus on the mission we have been given.
Like any good mission, it is an adventure filled with twists and turns, ups and downs; it is critical to gather, rest, and be renewed before heading out again.
This morning will do just that.
This year's theme: Kerygma. We will focus on the importance of proclaiming and steeping youth in the Kerygma, the Good News of the Gospel, within our parishes and youth ministry programs. How do we proclaim the basic Gospel message to teens well? What does it look like to always keep the Kerygma at the center of our ministries? How do we continually remind teens of the Good News of Jesus Christ in all that we do with youth? These are questions we will explore in our time together at Embark.
