About this Event
Join BIPOC bicycle advocate and equity educator, The Brown Bike Girl, for an insightful, scenic, and delicious ride on July 4th.
The Juneteenth Ice Cream Tour will visit 3 inclusive and POC owned Brooklyn ice cream shops in Brooklyn to consume a sampling of cultural flavors that underscore the lived realities of how legally emanicipated Black Americans would experience "freedom" in the USA. Particular in the years surrounding landmark freedom declarations such the Declaration of Indepednece, the passing of both 13th Amerndment that ended slavery, and the 1964 end segregation.
All persons are welcome and encouraged to join in having a mindful holiday.
Please know that nuts and dairy will present in some of the samples.
