In the spirit of fall, we have a special pop-up volunteer activity at Elwood Wildlife Preserve! Join us from 11am-3pm for a Wood Pile Burning volunteer day led by PLC Volunteer Land Steward Ed Coleman and PLC Seasonal Stewardship Staff Jacob Shoppa.Help open up the understory for our native plants by burning the piles of dead invasive species that our volunteers have dedicatedly been removing at Elwood!
PLC will bring supplies for s’mores and you are more than welcome to bring a chair and a sack lunch to eat around the fire as well!
You also are free to "drop in" at any time to join us, you don't have to come right at 11.
