In this talk retired Surgeon and former Vice Presedent of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Iain MacIntyre will discuss pioneering Surgeon and womens rights activist Elsie Inglis. Hear how Inglis opened a hospital for women and children in Edinburgh, was active in the suffrage movement and went on to found the Scottish Women’s Hospitals for Foreign Service in the First World War.
Talks will last approximately 30 mins and there will be tea and coffee available for ticket holders.
