Love to read? Love to write? Join storyteller Rissa Miller for a glimpse into the famous (and less famous) names that make up Ellicott City's literary history. It's not just about Washington Irving, Edgar Allan Poe, and Mark Twain, though they did come to write and work in the region. Learn about the famous library, since destroyed by flood ~ and the women who worked and wrote in the region as well. The presentation will include lively history and readings in honor of National Poetry Month.Join us to celebrate our little town's place in the history of the written word! Enjoy this all with an included glass of wine (or tea/coffee from the Bibiliopub). Yes, there will be plenty of time before and after to browse the stacks.
Guests should be 12 to attend and must be 21 to drink wine. Non-alcoholic options will be available. The talk will be inside the Bibiliopub area at Backwater Books; please use your discernment, you know your child/teen best.
Reservations required, no walk ups accepted. Tickets will be refunded for any issues arising due to illness or health concerns. Thank you for your continued support and please stay safe & well.
