The City of Ellensburg is partnering with Waste Management, Central Washington University, and Ellensburg Glass Recycling Cooperative to hold the Ellensburg Recycling Event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in the parking lot at the southeast corner of 2nd Avenue and Pine Street. People can bring recyclables and learn about curbside service and local recycling drop-off locations. Event collection items include single-stream recyclables (plastic bottles and jugs, cardboard, paper, and food and beverage cans), bicycle tubes, and bicycles in any condition. Bicycle donations will be refurbished and given away at future community events.
Learn about curbside recycling and single-stream do’s and don’ts, connect with community recycling resources beyond curbside, share project ideas for an air quality grant, and learn how the Ellensburg Glass Recycling Cooperative turns glass into new sand (glass cannot be accepted at the event).
The event is free to attend.
