Elk's Lodge #691 is partnering with Glynn County Recreation and Parks to bring you the Elk's Hoop Shoot at Ballard Park Gym (30 Nimitz Drive). This is a FREE event.
***8 -11 YEAR OLDS ON DECEMBER 14 BEGINNING AT 9:30 A.M.
***12-13 YEAR OLDS ON DECEMBER 14 BEGINNINS AT 12:00 P.M.
Contestants will compete in one of six divisions:
Boys, ages 8-9 Girls, ages 8-9
Boys, ages 10-11 Girls, ages 10-11
Boys, ages 12-13 Girls, ages 12-13
*Age control date is April 1, 2025.
Contestants will shoot from the Free Throw Line (8-9 year olds will have a line 4 feet in front of the Free Throw Line). Once they are handed the ball they will have 10 seconds to complete the shot. Each players will shoot 10 shots and there will be a warm up period before the actual start of the contest.
Winners of the contest will advance through different stages (Local, Districts, State, Regionals, and National Finals in Chicago). Winners of the Nationals will have their names inscribed in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
