About the Children's Summit
The Elkhart County Children’s Summit is an annual gathering of those who serve and care about our youth. Join with your colleagues to hear national and local speakers as well as youth and families who have themselves experienced our services and systems. We will leave with new ideas, hope, and energy for the work.
Learning Objectives:
As a result of this training, participants will:
- Understand the social influences of mental health and identify practical ways to support youth mental health
- Describe how youth and families engage in the mental health system and identify at least one way they can help improve it
- Describe how the juvenile justice system intersects with youth mental health and how it impacts youth
Keynote Speaker:
Dr. Julie Radlauer is an international keynote speaker, founder of Collectively, a TEDx speaker and a best-selling author of CONNECT. 100 Ways to Create Happiness in your Life. As a leading expert in the social influences of mental health, she uses her experience in Behavioral Health to impact individuals, organizations, systems and communities. Her approach is collaborative, creative and curious as she strives to educate the masses about how they can impact mental health for themselves and those around them.
