February 21st- El’J Dilla Poetry Slam: Come witness poets compete in a poetry competition in which one will be crowned champion at this special event that combines spoken word with music of J Dilla. Located at 101 Person Street
February 22nd- El’J Dilla Book Release: Join us as LeJuane “El’Ja” Bowens releases his new book. There will be special performances by award winning spoken word artists along with a book reading from the author himself and a Q&A with himself and Maureen “Ma Dukes” Yancey. Located at 301 Hay Street
February 23rd- El’J Dilla Brunch: Join us for an unforgettable afternoon at Dilla Brunch, where we honor the life and legacy of legendary producer J Dilla. On this day, we're bringing the culture together for a special brunch event in Fayetteville, featuring soulful bites, live music, and powerful storytelling. Maureen “Ma Dukes” Yancey, J Dilla's mother, will be our guest speaker, sharing intimate stories and memories about her son’s life, legacy, and influence on music. Located at 106 hay street
