About this Event
For all our historical fiction super fans, we've got an event for the history books coming up!! ELIZABETH WEIN, author of Code Name Verity, is coming to Little Shop to tell us all about her newest book, Stateless, on March 15th at 7:00 PM! This gripping M**der mystery set in 1937 Europe is literally everything we could ever want in a book and absolutely swept us off our feet with its glamour and grisley secrets that we cannot wait to uncover with you! In fact, we were so charmed by this mystery, we're going to use this event as an opportunity to put your sleuthing skills to the test... If you're intrigued and want to know more about this event, the book, or who is capable of deadly sabotage, see below for more deets:
Tickets:
Admission: $0 that's right, this event is free to attend, however you still need to "purchase" a ticket for every person in your group!

Who Dunnit?:
As stated above, we want to put your sleuthing skills to the test at this event, just like our main character! However, we're not really in the mood to get the officials involved, SO we're going to make a game out of our mystery! When you arrive, you will put on a name tag and pick an envelope that will tell you whether you're a sleuth or a saboteur. If you're a saboteur, you will be given a small list of tasks to sneakily do throughout the event (flip a book upside down, mark on the chalk board, etc). If you're a sleuth, keep an eye out for any suspicious behavior. At the end of the event, our event coordinator, Sydney, will ask if our sleuths if they have any suspects (you must give names!). If the sleuths can guess all of the sabateurs, they will win a prize, however if the sabateurs manage to sneak by, the prize will be theirs!! More details to come!
About the Book:
When Stella North is chosen to represent Britain in Europe’s first air race for young people, she knows all too well how high the stakes are. As the only participating female pilot, it’ll be a constant challenge to prove she’s a worthy competitor. But promoting peace in Europe feels empty to Stella when civil war is raging in Spain and the Nazis are gaining power—and when, right from the start, someone resorts to cutthroat sabotage to get ahead of the competition.
The world is looking for inspiration in what’s meant to be a friendly sporting event. But each of the racers is hiding a turbulent and violent past, and any one of them might be capable of M**der…including Stella herself.
