Gal's Night Out for Charity Benefit

Held at Bally's Dover Casino Resort, we are in for a delicious evening that includes a full dinner & dessert. In addition to great conversation and giving back to the community, there will be a pick-a-prize auction, cash bar, and a 50/50 raffle.

This month's proceeds will benefit the Elizabeth W. Murphey School

About Elizabeth W. Murphey School

The mission of the Murphey School is to provide residential group care and transitional care for homeless children located in Dover, Delaware. Mr. Murphey's vision was for the Murphey School to be "a fostering home where children who would otherwise be neglected may have a happy childhood; and where they may have the fullest opportunity to develop toward useful and efficient lives."

The Murphey School serves the ages of 8 to 23 and provides 24-hour care for live-in residents. The children reside in four cottages on campus, each with their own bedroom. Each child has an educational advocate who works with the teachers, social workers, and tutors to give them the best possible chance to succeed. In addition to ensuring that children have their medical, counseling and nutrition needs met, the Murphey School staff also ensure that any child who wishes to participate in school or community sports programs is provided with the necessary equipment and transportation to and from practices and games.

Funds raised will provide activities for the children throughout the year, such as camps, tumbling, soccer, and several other activities the kids would like to join. Funds would also be used to help pay for school activities such as prom, sports equipment, field trips, etc.
