As a follow up to the email sent to Members and Senior Players last week, this is a reminder the 2025 Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday, 13th October at 6:30PM, at the Argana Park Clubrooms.At the upcoming AGM, all Executive Committee positions, with the exception of the Secretary and Treasurer will be declared vacant, as a consequence of persons standing down, or having served their term.
Members present at the meeting will then elect new persons to the positions of President, Vice-President, Senior Football Director and Junior Football Director.
Nominations for these positions are now open.
Any member may nominate either themselves, or another member to the positions, providing of course that the person accepts the nomination, and that person is a bona-fide current financial member as at 30th September, per the club’s Regulation 2.8.3.
Nominations may be made by emailing the nominees name and position they are being nominated for, to the club Secretary at [email protected]
Nominations must be received no later than COB on Sunday 5th October.
In accordance with Clause 8.7 (a) of the Association’s Constitution, where a single nomination is received for a position, that person will be declared elected.
Where two or more nominations are received for a position, the Chair of the AGM will call for a vote by show of hands, with the nomination receiving the most votes, being declared elected.
In the event that insufficient nominations for a position are received by the due date, the Chair of the AGM, will call for nominations from members present at the meeting.
Non-Executive Committee roles (Appointed Committee Members) and other supporting roles will be appointed by the Executive Committee during the off-season and announced to members at a General Meeting to be scheduled at the start of the next season.
