This will be an intimate, immersive multi-media evening inside one of the world’s most iconic studios. Come and join award-winning flautist and composer Eliza Marshall as she unveils her debut solo album Eternal Birth, a celebration of life’s cycles and continuity: from conception to death, through nature, ancestry and renewal.

The album honours the natural world as a living archive of our ancestors, revealing the unseen yet powerful bonds we share with the Earth, with those who came before us, and the generations to come.
Released on One World Records and recorded at Real World Studios in the UK and in Dakar, Senegal, Eternal Birth weaves a rich cinematic soundscape blending classical, folk and world traditions with haunting flutes, whistles, bansuris, spoken word, percussion and electronics. It features an extraordinary line-up of world-class and Grammy Award-winning musicians: Ady Thioune and Ansumana Suso from Senegal and The Gambia, Drew Morgan and Dónal Rogers from the USA and the UK, and Lena Jonsson from Sweden. Produced by Ivor Novello Award recipient Graeme Pleeth, the record echoes the influence of Steve Reich and Paul Simon while remaining unmistakably Eliza’s own voice as composer and storyteller.
Eliza has made a name for herself as an innately curious and adventurous multi-instrumentalist with a genre-defying, kaleidoscopic sound. Over two decades the award-winning, classically trained flautist and composer has worked with an extraordinary array of artists, orchestras and film composers across the world. A founder member of folk supergroup Ranagri, she has toured internationally with Peter Gabriel’s New Blood Orchestra, recorded with Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Florence and The Machine, First Aid Kit and The White Stripes, performed as a soloist on Hollywood soundtracks including Disney’s Mufasa, Prometheus and Robin Hood, and appeared at Royal Opera Houses in London, Vienna, Hamburg and Brisbane. She has performed as a soloist with the BBC Concert Orchestra for BBC Radio 3 and is Artistic Director of the acclaimed Freedom To Roam project, described in Songlines Folk Focus as “Lovingly crafted and alive with motion. So inspirational and thought provoking.”
