This event is the opening event for the American Revolution Experience and will be followed by a colonial reception.
Lauren Thompson is an internationally known, award-winning designer, author, and teacher specializing in the areas of heirloom sewing, smocking, and embroidery. She has authored numerous needlework publications and has been featured in various needle arts periodicals and magazines in the United States and Australia. She has received several prestigious awards for volunteer service, including the Order of the Palmetto, which is the highest award given by the State of South Carolina. She has been honored with the highly esteemed DAR American Heritage “Women in the Arts Award”.
