ELITE TRAUMA COURSE
Join us for an action-packed day of learning at the Victoria Mill UCLan Burnley Campus! Our ELITE TRAUMA COURSE is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to handle most trauma operations with confidence.
Procedures covered will include:
- Dynamic hip screw
- Femoral IM nailing
- Tibial IM Nailing
- Ankle ORIF
- Olecranon Tension Band Wiring
- Radius and Ulna ORIF
- Distal Radius ORIF
- Damage Control External Fixation
Faculty is comprised of consultants who are passionate about education and Trauma Orthopaedics. It includes consultants who have consistently won the "Best Trainer of the year in the NorthWest".
Suitable for FY1-ST3 and non-training grade equivalents. Focus will be on those preparing for CT and ST interviews.
Prior to attending the course you will receive comprehensive pre-course material which will include basic concepts of fixation and video presentations on each of the station. These will help you prepare ahead for the course and allow you to get the most out of the day.
