🥾 Elham Valley Walk – Long Distance Challenge 23miles 🥾Fancy a challenge this year?! Full support before and during the event including a training programme, refreshments on the day and a finishers medal. We will be with you every step of your journey. A training plan is sent in your confirmation email to help you build up to the event if you are new to longer distances.
So whether you’re a first time long distance walker or a regular come and join us on this beautiful walk whilst making memories and making friends along the way.
The Elham Valley Way leads from the internationally renowned cathedral city of Canterbury, down to the popular coastal town of Hythe, taking us through enchanting countryside and the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We will walk through secret byways, unspoilt villages and woodland as the day progresses. There is even a trig to bag along the way.
Our support vehicle will meet us at 4 points along the way, providing fresh water, energy drinks, snacks and fruit to keep us going, as well as providing an option to stop and drive to the end if required.
We aim to finish in Hythe at approximately 6:30pm. The sea front is right at the finish line, feel free to cool off and dip your feet in the sea at the end.
This is a linear walk and we will set up a Whatsapp group nearer the time to arrange car shares if required. If not Canterbury has 2 train stations and multiple bus routes. Hythe has a regular bus timetable and the nearest train station is the neighbouring Folkestone.
