A very special FREE all-ages matinee brought to you by our wonderful friends and Broadway Community builders 9 mile Legacy (More about that below!)Tuesday December 23, 2024 - Doors at 1pm, Screening at 2pm
Buddy (Will Ferrell) was accidentally transported to the North Pole as a toddler and raised to adulthood among Santa's elves. Unable to shake the feeling that he doesn't fit in, the adult Buddy travels to New York, in full elf uniform, in search of his real father. As it happens, this is Walter Hobbs (James Caan), a cynical businessman. After a DNA test proves this, Walter reluctantly attempts to start a relationship with the childlike Buddy with increasingly chaotic results.
This free screening is being brought to Saskatoon by our wonderful friends and partners 9 MILE LEGACY BREWING who have supported the Broadway in so many ways over the years, not least of all by being a BROADWAY COMMUNITY BUILDER. We have a multi-tier membership system here at the theatre, and the Community Builder is the highest of those tiers, entitling the membership holder to a bevy of benefits and perks, including an exclusive screening. In true community building fashion, the folks at 9 Mile Legacy chose to open the doors of the Broadway to the public with their exclusive screening as a holiday gift to the city!
