There are 8 different papers sets, some dates will use the same set of papers. This means in some cases it is possible to re-sit a paper, which can help boost a child's confidence.
Children sit four separate tests independently: Maths, English Comprehension, Non-Verbal Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning. You will receive the tests and answer sheets back as well as written feedback on their strengths and weaknesses in the different topic areas within the subjects. We aim to get these done within 2 weeks of the test.
In the Kent Test, the Reasoning topics are combined in one test, however, we find that it’s easier for the children and parents to understand the topics and the feedback from the exams if they are kept separate. We don't set a writing piece, as this is only assessed if your child is borderline or goes through the appeal process. They do get opportunities whilst at the club to focus on some written pieces, as well as the work they complete in school.
Discounts
• 7 - 8 sessions paid in full or monthly = 5% discount.
• 9 - 11 sessions paid in full or monthly = 8% discount.
• 12 + sessions paid in full or monthly = 12% discount.
• £10 per referral to other parents, please make sure they mention your name when getting in touch.
Payment Options
A) In full in advance you receive a discount.
B) Monthly standing order to spread the cost to receive a discount. Please note, any late payments will mean you will lose the discount, this will be added on to the final invoice.
C) Invoiced separately for each course, i.e. Easter payment, exam days payment and summer payment. This method will not receive the discount.
Terms
1. Payment for a session is required 3 weeks before the first session your child is attending. If not received by then, you run the risk of losing that place if somebody else would like to book. If paying monthly, the full payment is required 3 weeks prior to the final session your child is attending.
2. Refunds will not be issued if your child does not attend on the day due to illness or other circumstances, it may be possible to swap to another date if space at another venue.
3. Cancellations are accepted with 2 weeks' notice, but will incur £5 admin fee if payment has already been received.
4. A full refund will be issued in the unlikely event the club teacher is unable to run a session.
5. Any late monthly payments (without notice) will have the cost of the discount added to the final payment.
