About the Instructor
Originally from Cheshire, England, Scott Bowden began his career in hospitality with a passion for food and service. After early culinary training was cut short due to a shellfish allergy, he shifted to front-of-house operations and hotel management, working in luxury settings where he served dignitaries and even royalty.
Scott’s wine journey began during his time at The Ritz-Carlton in Newport Beach, where he transitioned from fine dining to wine program management. That path led to roles in wine sales and education, including eight years as a wholesale rep and twelve years with Treasury Wine Estates, representing world-renowned brands like Penfolds, Beringer, and Stags’ Leap Winery.
Today, Scott leads sales education and brand management for Hayden Beverage in Idaho and Montana, conducting wine dinners, staff trainings, and consulting on wine lists—always bringing passion, knowledge, and a polished sense of service.
