Terrestrial Curriculum:Module 1 – Foundations of Terrestrial Yoga (3 weekends) As a separate Training only $975
- meditation and other traditional yoga techniques, asana, pranayama, kriya, chanting, mantra.
- human physical anatomy and physiology (bodily systems, organs, etc.) also including energy anatomy and physiology (chakras, nadis, etc.).
- anatomy and physiology along with its application to yoga practice (benefits, contraindications, healthy movement patterns, etc.).
- demonstration, observation, assisting and correction.
- learn and teach one Hatha style sequence
Module 2 – Methodology of Terrestrial Yoga (3 weekends) As a separate Training only $975
- how to teach and practice the techniques, and guided practice of the techniques themselves.
- sequencing, pace, cueing, and classroom management.
- communication skills, time management, priorities and boundaries.
- professional development, the business of Yoga, including Mind Body training.
- Understanding the value of teaching yoga as a service and being of service to others (seva).
- learn and teach one Power Yoga Vinyasa Style sequence.
Module 3 – Yin and Restorative Terrestrial Yoga (2 weekends) As a separate Training only $650
- The study of yoga philosophies and traditional texts, such as the Yoga Sutras
- the emphasis of teaching others is based on the safest ways to practice and teach yoga.
- yoga humanities including history, philosophy and ethics
- The business of yoga from a yoga studio owner and teachers perspective giving the unique perspective on the ins and outs of working in yoga.
- Learn and teach one Yin sequence
- learn and teach one Restorative sequence
