About this Event
It's a classic fable of good versus evil, David against Goliath, and a timely exposé.
Lek Chailert, a Thai woman, fights to rescue abused elephants from the cruel and secretive Thai tourist industry. Her goal is to provide these elephants with a life free from cruelty and exploitation. Despite being globally renowned in the conservation world, the odds are stacked against her as big business, political corruption, and a ‘mafia’ of traders and traffickers oppose her efforts. However, as the world faces a global pandemic, Lek identifies this time of uncertainty and fear as an opportunity to turn the tables.
