About this Event
'Elephant in the Room'
There are many in today's society, so much so that at times it can feel like there isn't enough time to address them all.
Come down to Poplar Union on December 7th 2024 from 6pm and let us make some time to encourage some healthy conversations.
The 'Elephant in the Room' that will be the subject of the conversation is identity. However, as you know around here we do conversations a little different. This the sequel of 'Men(tally) Ignored' by the talented spoken word poet RVJ. This series of healthy conversations cuts into topics we don’t discuss enough or to fully include all parties. Our intention is to do just that so whether you were born here in the UK or not this conversation will need your input.
On the day the incredible young spoken word poet Duncan The Sage, a man with wisdom and philosophy will co-host as well as perform. Guest speaker Lauryn a talented spoken word artist, that has been impacting the poetry scene will also be in attendance. Her voice is a force of nature and influence. Last but by no means least the versatile Jay Kage with a combination of music and poetry will be a guest speak and of course will be performing.
This is a free event and all are welcomed. Children under the age is 16 must be accompanied by a adult.
