About this Event
Thanksgiving!
Corn, maize, or Weeâchumun, no matter what you call it, it played an important role in the first Thanksgiving. Join us as we learn about the first Thanksgiving from the Native American perspective and the role of corn on that day. Participants will get to hunt for the foods served at that first feast. They will get to make their own Indian Corn to take home.
The series, targeted at ages 5-9, will be held monthly. Each month will feature a different craft inspired by local history.
A Parent/ guardian must accompany their children.
THIS EVENT IS STRICTLY LIMITED TO 15 CHILDREN. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!
Participants may be photographed for use in museum promotional and marketing material.
