The all Electronic Music Open Mic (EMOM) is back in Manchester courtesy of Subliminal Impulse and Martin Christie. Taking place at The Castle Hotel in Northern Quarter on 25 June (6pm start) this event is designed for electronic music producers, creators and enthusiasts. Time to get together and listen to some music, have a chat and maybe a dance.Hosted by Martin Christie.
Seeking all forms of electronic music including: dance, experimental, drone, ambient, noise, synthpop, techno, glitch, trance, experimental hip hop, loopers, psy etc
Get out of the home studio and into the light of a listening and appreciative audience. Laptops, synths, drum machines, loop stations, phone apps, groove boxes, sequencers, samplers, iPads, modular synths, keyboards, analogue and digital devices of all kinds welcome.
Meet other electronic music makers and share ideas. There will be ample time and space to discuss this form of music making.
Open mic slots are on a first come, first served basis on the night. Slots are up to 15 minutes (including set up and pack down times).
Sorry - no acoustic guitars – unless they are being used to generate soundscapes or some other style of music in keeping with the night.
