About this Event
The Environmental Conference is an annual collaborative effort of multiple community organizations. The event inspires participants to become educated and take individual and collective action. This year the Conference will include:
1. Speakers on a wide variety of topics surrounding electrification and conservation.
2. Vendors who will provide information on how you can take steps to electrify your home and your life (e.g., HVAC services, Solar installers, Electric Vehicles and EV infrastructure, Electric Bikes, and Landscaping Equipment).
3. Homeowners and local organizations who will discuss the practicalities of home electrification.

Our keynote speaker, Brian Stewart, is a co-founder of Electrify Now, an organization devoted to educating energy consumers and homeowners about how electrification makes our lives healthier and more comfortable and dramatically lowers carbon emissions and energy bills. By adopting clean energy and electric solutions, we can all accelerate the world to a more just and sustainable future. Brian has over 30 years of experience in product design, engineering, manufacturing and sustainability. He held many leadership roles at Nike Inc. including Vice President of Sustainable Innovation.
The Bainbridge Island Environmental Conference is a joint project of Sustainable Bainbridge, EcoAdapt, the Bainbridge Island Land Trust, IslandWood, and the Bainbridge Parks & Trails Foundation. This group sets the annual theme and shares the responsibilities of planning and coordinating the conference. We welcome your ideas for topics for future environmental conferences too - we're all in this together!
