Grammy-nominated Electric Duke frontman Julian Shah-Tayler, from the UK, has collaborated with several David Bowie musicians (on original albums and interpretations of Bowie material) and effortlessly channels the persona and zeitgeist of Ziggy Stardust. Backing him up are guitarist/producer Brent Meyer (who’s also produced Bowie’s guitarist and producer!) and drummer Christopher Olivas, who’s performed world tours and appeared on records & music videos with Berlin/Terri Nunn, and also with Australian new wavers: Real Life.
It's been a good few years for singer/songwriter/producer/remixer Julian Shah-Tayler aka The Singularity. He is currently very proud to be working with the legendary artists Mike Garson ( David Bowie ), David J ( Bauhaus ), Carmine Rojas ( Bowie ), Alain Whyte ( Morrissey ), and Robert Margouleff ( Stevie Wonder/ Devo ) on his next originals album “ Honne/Tatame ” He has just finished executive producing the Aladdin Sane 50th anniversary cover album “ Forget that I’m 50 ” with special guests: Gene Loves Jezebel , Human Drama , Beck Black among many others. “ Actors on Actors ” which he scored won two Emmys. He won a “ Golden Trailer ” award for his work with Lana Del Ray on Disney 's “ Maleficent ” trailer. He also had one of his songs performed by “Tellavision” for Bill Clinton , Robert De Niro, and Martin Scorsese during the “ Unite for Humanity ” charity event at the Oscars. David Bowie (1947–2016) was an English singer, songwriter, and actor, widely regarded as one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. Born David Robert Jones in London, he first gained fame in 1969 with his single “Space Oddity.” Known for his distinctive voice and androgynous style, Bowie constantly reinvented his image, from the glam rock alter ego Ziggy Stardust to the sophisticated Thin White Duke.
Bowie’s career spanned over five decades, during which he released iconic albums like The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, Heroes, and Let’s Dance. His eclectic music blended rock, pop, electronic, and experimental styles, earning him a reputation for innovation. In addition to music, Bowie acted in films such as The Man Who Fell to Earth and Labyrinth. His final album, Blackstar, was released just two days before his death from cancer in January 2016. Bowie’s legacy endures through his pioneering work in music, fashion, and popular culture.
