The annual meeting features an update on our process, progress and direction. We will provide ample time for Q&A, and will also include opportunities to learn more about co-ops, connect with one another, and create our future together. This year, although there are no proposed by-law changes, Member-Owners will have an opportunity to vote on the election of members of our Board of Directors.
In past years, many of you will remember we’ve hosted the Annual Meeting on a weeknight in June with a light dinner. This year, we’re changing things up with a Sunday afternoon, following the Schenectady Greenmarket (3-5pm). We also like to think of hosting our Annual Meeting for our community-owned, democratically governed community grocery as a great week to kick off the week of the Fourth of July, and hope you all do too.
And, like every co-op gathering, we’ll be celebrating our love for community and delicious food. A 3-5 meeting might be a little early for dinner, but it’s a great time to share in the delight of small bites and the season’s bounty. We know many of you love sharing food almost as much as preparing it, so we warmly invite you to bring a dish if you’re so inspired! As in other years, we’ll provide some food and drink, and invite you to come as you are.
