About this Event
This year's election has been deeply impactful to many communities. While good news for some, for others the results have brought up intense emotions such as fear, despair, anger and more. Every reaction is normal, every reaction is okay. This is an opportunity to honor all these feelings in a safe container in community, and to find grounding to move forward.
This grief workshop will be an offering of The Work that Reconnects.
“The Work That Reconnects helps people discover and experience their innate connections with each other and the self-healing powers of the web of life, transforming despair and overwhelm into inspired, collaborative action.”
– Joanna Macy

Through the stages of The Spiral, we will explore:
-Coming from Gratitude: Tapping into the abundance of the present moment.
-Honoring Our Pain for the World: Creating space for the deep emotions that arise in response to global and personal challenges
-Seeing with New/Ancient Eyes: Reconnecting with the wisdom of past generations and expanding our perspective.
-Going Forth: Empowering ourselves to take positive action in our communities and lives.
This process, designed to flow naturally from one stage to the next, allows participants to return to gratitude with a fresh outlook each time they move through the spiral.
Facilitated by Madison, a passionate leader currently studying at Naropa University, this workshop weaves together insights from Buddhism, Systems thinking, and Indigenous wisdom traditions to create a container where participants feel empowered to be vulnerable, heal, and find hope. Madison’s approach is rooted in practices of radical self-care, nonviolent activism, and decolonization. Her intention is to make this work accessible to the Western mind, while also honoring the ancestral wisdom embedded in these practices.
