Acclaimed singer -songwriter Elaine Palmer plays a new album launch at The Globe, she recorded "Half Moon Rising" up in the San Diego hills USA. Elaine is joined by the Essex based songster MG Boulter (ex Lucky Strikes) & very special guest multi-instrumentalist/singer Bridie Jackson for this awesome one-off occasion
The release HALF MOON RISING, has big country guitars, warm, rich and classic textures, & Elaine’s vocals up high in the mix. Something very magical happened with this record. This is the album Elaine was always meant to make!
In the Beginning….
Elaine Palmer hails from an isolated village up on the North Yorkshire Moors in England but spent most of her life travelling back and forward to her family in Phoenix, Arizona. Growing up in an old Watermill in the wilds of Yorkshire Elaine surrounded herself by music, writing songs influenced by her surroundings and music both in the UK and USA. Elaine finely honed her distinctive voice and built a reputation for her emotive mesmerizing stage presence. Elaine has released a handful of records and toured the UK extensively, playing with the likes of KT Tunstall, Patty Griffin, Courtney Marie Andrews and Paolo Nutini.
Elaine’s success continues….receiving more national UK radio airplay with BBC legends Bob Harris, Iain Anderson and Eve Blair, all declaring themselves fans of her work on air with fantastic reviews from the biggest UK music press MOJO, UNCUT, MAVERICK, RnR Magazine, Americana UK.
MG Boulter
M G Boulter is a songwriter and musician living on the Thames coast in Essex, UK. Serving his apprenticeship in numerous bands in the hotbed of the Southed-on-Sea pub rock scene (the precursors of which were household names such as Procol Harem, Dr Feelgood and Eddie and the Hotrods), M G came to lead, as singer and guitarist, the popular country rock band The Lucky Strikes, who Q Magazine once likened to “The Waterboys on trucker pills”.
