Always happy to be welcoming back our favourite Cuban Big Band, Orquesta Estelar, who always guarantee a great night of percussion, horns, flutes, guitars, vocals, strings and Salsa caliente.
Orquesta Estelar is a community-based Cuban Big Band situated in the heart of London and has been making its musical mark for more than 15 years.
The band is led by the ‘terrific trio’ aka Sara McGuinness on keys, Bill Bland on percussion and Jimmy Martinez on bass and rehearse weekly in SOAS (The School of Oriental and African Studies), Russell Square. Band members are a mix of professional, semi-professional and amateur musicians and play Cuban music with the swing and exuberance that has made Cuban music so popular throughout the world.
Orquesta Estelar bring Salsa, Cuban Son, Cha Cha Cha and more, regularly rocking dance floors with their spectacular sound and spirit. Not only is the music great, but Orquesta Estelar create a great vibe which enhances the lives of members and audiences alike.

This will be the last El Swing for 2025 so make sure you make it down!
Our Colombian Salsa teacher, Yamile, gets the hips moving with her all-comers Salsa Dance Class from 7.30, followed by the club night with El Swing DJs and Orquesta Estelar.
