ECTA and the Carson National Forest will be finishing up the South Boundary trail reroute by realigning the western bridge at the El Nogal Recreation Area and by moving trail signage. What to expect: Day 1 ( Nov. 7 ) will consist of digging holes, pouring concrete, and disassembling the bridge.
Day 2 ( Nov. 8 ) will consist of assembling the bridge (and possibly painting it) and moving trail signage.
We'll be working at the trailhead so no hiking involved. There is also a pit toilet.
What to bring: plenty of food and water, layers, rain gear, sunscreen, sturdy hiking shoes, gloves, eye protection (sunglasses okay), and long pants.
*Please bring general carpentry/construction tools and sawhorses if you have any*
We will be meeting at the El Nogal trailhead at 9 AM and working until around 4 PM on both days. Feel free to come for as long as you can and for one or both of the days.
Email [email protected] with any questions.
We hope to see you on the trail!
