THE DATE OF THIS RIDE HAS CHANGED TO THE 22nd OF NOVEMBER. This trail is usually beautiful this time of year and the last group ride we did here was in scorching heat, so I thought November would be a good time to revisit the area. Meet at the same spot (dirt parking lot across from Poor Red's). There's parking at the trail head also, but it's a little difficult to find. It's a 28-mile ride with about 1900 ft of climbing with all pretty moderate grades (nothing horrible). It's almost all on a nice bike trail. We ride through Placerville at one point to pick up the trail on the other side of the town. I'd like to try and go up to "Blue Barn Provisions" to stop and have a snack before heading down the trail. That will entail riding another 2 miles or so and going up through the Camino Heights neighborhood at the end of the trail. It's a short but steepish climb then flattens out all the way to the rest stop. If some folks don't want to go that far, they can turn around at the trail's end.https://www.strava.com/activities/12569262843
