Join us for a very special afternoon of bilingual storytelling (Spanish and English), food and drink, children's activities, environmental conservationism and fun for the whole family.
● Dolphin-shaped cookies that children can decorate with pink frosting, tying into the
magical dolphins of the story.
●The first public telling of the story by Verónica Moscoso, the author of El Delfín Mágico de la Amazonía (in English and in Spanish), accompanied by live drumming by acclaimed musician Silvestre Martinez
● A free raffle with book prizes
● A dolphin drawing contest with a prize.
● A short presentation by a biologist about dolphins and the importance of marine life preservation.
● Q and A discussion with young audience members and the author

Verónica Moscoso is an exceptional storyteller, author, journalist, and documentary filmmaker extraordinaire!
Originally from Quito, Ecuador, Verónica brings her unique voice, language skills, and cultural heritage to the world of Spanish language learning. Her collection of fabulous easy-to-read books for Spanish students range from captivating fiction to eye-opening real life stories. Get ready to meet unforgettable characters, explore social issues with a fresh perspective, dive into iconic legends, uncover the bond between humans and animals, and even crack up with her hilarious book of jokes!
Sunday, March 30th will be the official book launch event of the 12 book in her Spanish language learning series, and tells a story based on the legend of El Delfín Mágico de la Amazonía (The Magical Dolphin of the Amazon).

This is a FREE event. Come enjoy free community gatherings and educational experiences for youth and families.
There will be delcious (but optional) food and drink for purchase provided by Chef Dilsa Lugo and Los Cilantros Restaurant.
All donations will go to the artist to cover the cost of the event.
