But why do we do it? Well, the heated-up metal acts to caramelize the residual sugars left in the beer, and as these flavors interact you get some delicious, unique, malty characteristics that you can't get any other way. Plus - it's fun to sit on the patio around a fire and do a little day drinking! 🍻
