Join us for a special night of music featuring Idaho native EILEN JEWELL, whose signature blend of Americana, folk, blues, and country captivates audiences with smoky vocals, evocative storytelling, and a timeless, vintage-inspired sound. Eilen will be joined by the Boise-based country-folk and blues band, CHARLIE AND THE CHANGELINGS. Doors open at 6:30 PM.Hailed by American Songwriter as “one of America’s most intriguing, creative, and idiosyncratic voices,” Eilen Jewell’s new album blends her signature roots-noir with a psychedelic edge, exploring themes of grief, resilience, and redemption. An Idaho native, Jewell built her career through relentless touring, winning over audiences with her captivating live performances. Over nine albums, she has shared stages with legends like Lucinda Williams, Loretta Lynn, and Emmylou Harris. Praised by Rolling Stone for her “clever writing” and NPR for her “sweet and clear voice with a killer instinct,” Jewell continues to carve her place in American music. The Washington Post mused that “if Neko Case, Madeleine Peyroux, and Billie Holiday had a baby girl who grew up to front a rockabilly band, she’d probably sound a lot like Eilen Jewell."
Charlie & The Changelings is an original country-folk and blues band based in Boise, Idaho, featuring Charlie Sutton on lead vocals and guitar, Dave Manion on steel guitar (Eilen Jewell, Curtis Stigers), Jason Beek on drums and backing vocals (Eilen Jewell, Hillfolk Noir, Pinto Bennett), and Sam Alkire on bass and backing vocals. Soaring lap steel guitar and soulful counterpoint harmonies harken back to bands like The Flying Burrito Brothers and JJ Cale, while Charlie Sutton’s intricate fingerpicking, masterful songwriting, and commanding vocal style conjure the rugged beauty of Townes Van Zandt and the gorgeous grit of John Fogerty.
