Join Us for an Evening of Reflection, Solidarity, and Collective ActionEid al-Fitr is traditionally a time of joy, gratitude, and celebration, a moment to come together with loved ones in prayer and community. Yet, for the second year in a row, many Muslims around the world are marking this occasion with heavy hearts, feeling the deep suffering and pain of our Palestinian brothers and sisters.
As we gather for Eid, we also stand in solidarity, holding space for grief, resilience, and action. This evening is an opportunity to come together, find strength in community, to support one another, and to channel our collective sorrow into meaningful steps toward justice and compassion.
Join us as we share a meal, reflect, and take action in support of those in need. �
Event Highlights:
Community Meal �: Bring a dish to share, preferably vegetarian or halal.
Messages of Solidarity �: Share prayers, poetry, reflections, or thoughts—however you wish to express your emotions and navigate this difficult time.
Action for Change � : Discuss ways to take meaningful action. Add your voice to our message board to the MP, Jayne Kirkham, calling for her support for Palestine.
Children’s Craft Station �: Create cards and write prayers for the world
Fundraising & Awareness �: Donate to humanitarian aid, specifically for Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP).
Tea & Sweets � : Connect and enjoy traditional treats, with a sweet treat bag for children .
