YRC CAMP - PLEASE MESSAGE THE PAGE TO BOOK! Monday 27th October to Wednesday 29th October.
We have been able to secure 2 nights/3 days at the fabulous and iconic Yorkshire Riding Centre to run our October 1/2 Term camp.
This venue has the flexibility to cater for everyone, from young, green and grass roots horses (and riders) plus those looking to build confidence, up to BE Novice and we would love to see a variety of combinations joining us there!
Emma Hawksby, 4* International Event Rider will run the rest of the sessions over the next 2 days of camp.
Emma is a BHS Stage 4 in complete horsemanship. She holds her UKCC Level 2 and is a fully qualified first aider.
Emma has successfully produced & horses of her own up to international 4* BE Level & has produced & competed clients horses up to Intermediate BE Level. She also competes BD up to Advanced Medium Level & BS up to 130, so she has well rounded experience of all disciplines, making her the perfect choice for the main camp instructor.
Emma is based in Tow Law & runs a full livery yard. She also takes in horses for breaking, rehabilitation, schooling & competing.

Sara Bowe is a professional event rider based in Notth Yorkshire who has produced raw young horses from the beginning right up to advanced and 4* level successfully. Sara has a specific passion for flatwork and ensuring the basics are correct to produce results in the dressage phase as well as create good foundations for the other phases of eventing.
There are very limited spaces available (12) and the cost of this camp is £375.00 per person.
You are welcome to pay a deposit & then split the remaining amount to suit yourself, with the full amount due by September 26th.
This price includes 5 ridden sessions, stables with bedding, lunch & dinner on day 1, 3 meals on day 2 & breakfast & lunch on day 3.
CAMPING
You can sleep in your horse-box, trailer or pitch a tent.
There is a toilet & shower on-site.
Basic accommodation is available for limited numbers (YRC to confirm nearer the time) at an additional cost per night of

CAMP EXTRAS
🦄 Kevin Owens of Digital Works Photography will be with us (day tbc) to photograph your sessions - digital images available -(If you would like any print outs of images there will be a small charge for this).
🦄 Marcia from Equine Products will hopefully be able to pop by & chat about the fantastic range of supplements & other products they supply.
🦄 Angie Johnson from Baileys Horse Feeds will be with us on the 28th with her weigh bridge & lots of advice.
🦄 Aztec Diamond will be supplying a range of their beautiful, functional equestrian clothing range for us to try, plus a discount code for camp orders!
PROPOSED CAMP SCHEDULE
Monday 27th-
Arrive from 9am
Between 10am & 1pm - Group Flat work Lessons with Sara Bowe
1-2pm - Lunch in the Pavilion
Between 2pm & 5pm - Group Grid work Lessons (Indoors)
PM - evening meal and social drinks
Tuesday 28th -
Between 9am & 12pm - Group SJ Lessons
12.30 pm - Lunch in the Pavilion
Between 1pm & 4pm - Group Gallop/Optimum time Lessons
PM - evening meal - tbc
Wednesday 29th -
Between 9am & 12pm - Group XC Lessons- (on grass- weather dependent!) These will be either on the arena fields, which have steps, ditches, inclines and portable XC fences OR for the more advanced/thrusters, out on the main XC field where fences are 1M + and include a Quarry and Water and will be a fantastic opportunity to work over some really super obstacles!
12.30 pm - Lunch in the Pavilion

CAMP EQUIPMENT/REQUIREMENTS
A Hook Up is £15 per night - please state when booking if you would like one
YRC is within walking distance of a local village with a shop & pub.
We provide meals- Mon PM dinner, Tuesday Breakfast Lunch Dinner, Wednesday Breakfast & Lunch - PLEASE STATE ON BOOKING ANY ALLERGIES OR DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
Please bring a camp chair to sit on
Cutlery, mug, glass, plate & bowl
Mucking out tools- for shavings bed
Water bucket for stable
Washing off bucket & sponge
Your horses passport with up to date vaccinations record
All equipment for yourself- warm clothes, waterproofs, wellies, UP TO STANDARD RIDING HAT which must be a JOCKEY SKULL STYLE, no fixed peak (PAS 015, SNELL E2001 or VG1) AND BODY PROTECTOR (BETA 2018 Level 3 Blue Label, BS EN13158) riding boots, gloves, whip.
CANCELLATIONS-
We appreciate that problems can occur, especially where horses are concerned!
If you need to cancel, please contact us as soon as possible- messaging the page direct is the best way!
💥Camps💥
If you cancel before the full payment due date (published individually for each camp, but usually 1 month before camp takes place) you will receive a full refund of monies paid, less an admin fee of £20.
If you cancel after the full payment due date, but up to 2 weeks prior to the camp taking place, you will receive a 50% refund.
If you cancel within 2 weeks of the camp taking place, we will be unable to offer a refund but may be able to offer a place on a different camp, if mutually convenient.
This is due to our own time and expenses at that point.
