The Elk Grove Unified School District (EGUSD) is forecasting a need for 200 positions in the 2025-2026 school year. FAQs

How can I prepare for the recruitment event?

The district uses an on-line application process called EDJOIN. The application process is paperless. We do not accept paper applications. Applicants can submit one application for a position in EGUSD and update it or revise it for other positions that become available within the district.

Applicants may also submit credentials, letters of recommendation, transcripts, resume and other certificates on-line. Please do not email your application, resume, credential, certificates, transcripts, or letters of recommendation directly to Human Resources. To be considered for a position, all materials must be submitted through EDJOIN.

Can I interview for more than one position?

Certainly! You may register to interview for any category you have credentials for. They will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Just choose the time you want to attend and you can interview for multiple positions. (No need to sign up for more than one time block).

I don't have my credential yet. Can I still interview?

Absolutely! You may register to interview if you will have your credential by July 2025. EGUSD holds multiple recruitment events annually. If you will receive your credential AFTER July 2025, please watch the EGUSD website for the next event.

I don't see any positions that I am interested in listed on the Eventbrite registration site. Can I still attend the recruitment event and meet with someone?

At this event we will only be interviewing for the certificated positions listed on the Eventbrite registration site. EGUSD is hosting a recrtuitment event for non-credentialed empoyees on Thursday, March 20, 2025. Please check out our website for additional information.

What can I expect the day of the event?

This event is more than a meet & greet. Be prepared for a one-on-one interview that will last approximately 15 minutes. Bring a copy of your resume to reference during your interview however, paper resumes will not be accepted at the event. Refer to the EDJOIN process above for more information.

Is there anything else I should know about the event?

We are excited to have representatives from EGUSD Payroll & Benefits, Human Resources, Curriculum & Professional Learning Dept., Educational Equity, Family and Community Engagement, and other departments to answer questions about the district. There will also be representatives from Elk Grove area businesses and community organizations to share information about the area.

Candidates who particpated on the Teacher Recruitment Event on January 25, 2025 do not need to attend this event, as we will already have your information on file.

When should I arrive?

We realize many candidates like to arrive early and be the first to interview. However, to reduce the amount of time you will have to wait, arrive no eartlier than 15 minutes prior to the time you registered for. For example, if you register for the 10am time block, you can arrive anytime between 9:45-10:30am.

Where should I park?

Parking is free at Valley High School. Follow the event signage to the check-in table.
