Join us for a very special Thursday night showcase featuring Napa Valley's own eggcorn with special guest Sophia Corinne, a Napa Valley native & singer-songwriter who currently resides in Ashville, North Carolina! Music will start at 7pm SHARP and be finished by 9pm! $10 cover, with 100% of the cover going directly to the artists! 21+ Only!
eggcorn (For Fans of The Breeders, Beach House & Cat Power) is the moniker of Lara Hoffman, a musical therapist here in Napa! Lara assembled her band, exploring an orchestral rock flair with Ali Gummess (violin/vocals) Karen Moran (electric viola/guitar), Kyle Stringer (bass guitar/synth) and Peter Craft (drums).
Lara describes the band's music as "a lo-fi intergalactic soundscape, often starting with a mini 90’s Yamaha keyboard and electronic beats and gradually layering syncopated vocals, celestial synths, and fuzz bass juxtaposed with sprinkles of guitar."

About: eggcorn is the moniker of Bay Area songwriter/singer, Lara Hoffman, and refers to a word or phrase that is mistook for another word or phrase. Her debut album, Your Own True Love (2022), journeys through the tropes of romanticism and the human desire to find meaning outside of oneself. Creating the intergalactic, synth-laden, electronic soundscape of YOTL, Lara has since reimagined these songs for live performance with the talents of her band: Kyle Stringer (bass), Ali Gummess (violin), Karen Moran (viola), and Peter Craft (drums). She is currently working on a new compilation encapsulating the orchestral indie rock of eggcorn’s concerts.

About: Sophia Corinne harvests poetry for the lines of each song from her life, one lived paying attention. Her songs are witness to the raw difficulties and layered radiant joys that every heart bears. In both writing and voice, Sophia’s songs offer the companionship of something beautiful for us to hold close in any season. She is currently based in Asheville NC. ~Malena Sweers
