Egg Tempera Painting Workshop - half day

Introductory workshop investigating the medieval method of painting ground raw pigment colours and egg yolk. You will discover where the colours came from and how this lead to alchemy. You will experience gesso, underpainting and layered colours leading to a finished piece.

Tutor for this workshop is Bob Martin.

Bob has painted in oils for many years and was Head of Art at Sandwich Technology School. He is a keen medieval enthusiast and a founder member of the Sandwich Medieval Centre.
