Join us for the inaugural Ega Pitch Competition at AfroFest Omaha 2025, a dynamic live event designed to showcase the brilliance, resilience, and entrepreneurial drive of early-stage, Black-owned, student-led, and immigrant-founded ventures. “Ega,” meaning money in the Mina language of Togo, symbolizes prosperity, progress, and purpose—everything this competition stands for.Held during AfroFest Omaha—the Midwest’s largest celebration of African and Afro-diasporic cultures—this pitch competition offers a high-energy platform for emerging founders to share their vision and connect with key investors, business leaders, and an engaged community audience.

$500 grant for the winner
Guaranteed acceptance into the MAC-Xcelerator Program

Who Should Apply:
Student entrepreneurs, recent graduates, early-stage founders, and underrepresented innovators—including immigrants and refugees—are invited to apply.
Five semi-finalists will be selected to pitch live at AfroFest Omaha. Two finalists will move on to pitch on the AfroFest main stage, where the winner will be announced.
