About this Event
Efren's Group - LA Wildfire Community Support
Join us for an evening of connection as we come together to process the stress and challenges caused by the recent LA wildfires. This event is a safe space for gay men and allies to share experiences and lift each other up during these difficult times.
Meaningful group conversation will be facilitated by MHF behavioral specialist Preston Lopez, LMFT
About Preston Lopez, LMFT
Preston is very happy to be a part of Men's Health Foundation and to have the opportunity to provide high-quality behavioral and mental health services to our community.
Preston is a SoCal native and was proudly born and raised in Whittier. He considers himself lucky to once again call Whittier home after having spent three lovely years up in Oakland. When not working, Preston loves all things outdoors - hiking, camping, beaching, star-gazing. Road trips to national parks are one of his favorite pastimes. He loves to read or watch fantasy and science fiction. He is also passionate about grassroots organizing and loves to participate in community building through environmental and social justice movements.
Preston is excited to be part of an organization like MHF which espouses core values such as creating safe space. As a queer person who did not come out until later in life, he knows firsthand how important it is to have safe, trusted places where he can be myself, as well as the challenges that comes from living without such havens. He is ever grateful for the people and organizations who have become supportive spaces in his life and is dedicated to co-creating a safe, supportive environment here at MHF.
