Effective Bid Writing
Who is this for:
Those who are new to bid writing and want in depth knowledge and skills. Those who have some bid writing experience but wish to refresh their knowledge or further refine their skills. This is a one day course delivered in person in a classroom setting at Community Resource Shrewsbury Business Park 4 The Creative Quarter Shrewsbury SY2 6LG.
This free course is aimed at anyone who volunteers or works for community groups or charities within Shropshire. Please note this training is only available to volunteers and organisations within Shropshire UK. Please do not book onto this course if you are not volunteering or working within Shropshire UK as your registration will be cancelled/removed.
Overview:
In a world of funding cuts, effective bid writing is increasingly important for organisations to be successful. This course will give you some practical techniques and guidelines to enable you to make the most of funding opportunities.
Topics include:
• Funder criteria – how do you match what they are looking for?
• Effective methods of writing applications and presentation.
• How to evidence need
• How to answer key questions well
• Project budgeting
• Why applications fail and how to improve your chances of success
This accredited free training is supported by Shropshire Council and Funded by Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG) and managed by the Voluntary & Community Support Team at Community Resource. This free online training is to support community groups, voluntarily organisations and volunteers (within Shropshire only). Please note this training is only available to volunteers and organisations within Shropshire UK. Please do not book onto this course if you are not volunteering or working within Shropshire UK as your registration will be cancelled/removed. Additional training including ‘in person training’ will be offered throughout the year. So please keep looking at our training opportunities which will be available through eventrbrite.
This training will be delivered in person by an accredited trainer in a classroom setting. Booking is essential and only confirmed ticket holders will be admitted on the day. Once you have successfully booked onto your chosen free course. You will be emailed a few days before the training date, to give you further training details and to confirm your booking number.
We do offer a waiting list facility. So, if you are unable to attend, please could you let us know as soon as possible via email so we can then offer your free place to someone else.
