The Power of Plastics workshop is excellent for educators who discuss environmental issues in their classrooms. This is an interactive workshop, incorporating service learning opportunities and ways to link these actions to citizen science projects. After conducting a beach clean-up, we will assess litter, examine impacts and design solutions for preventing marine debris. During the workshop, lesson plan examples will feature a combination of grade levels creating an adaptable workshop for teachers of all K-12 ages.*This workshop takes place from 8am-12pm and includes a beach clean-up and guided Aquarium tour. 1-2 weeks prior to the workshop, those signed up will receive a welcome email with the workshop location and day-of information.
