Particularly after such a challenging year, there is a need to build caring, compassionate classroom communities. Activities with mindfulness and social-emotional learning at the core can help develop empathy and encourage students to better understand their thoughts and actions. This workshop examines the intersection of artmaking and mindful practices that can benefit teachers and students in any classroom. Registration fee includes gallery admission, lunch, and one Art of Mindfulness digital toolkit. Participants will earn six hours of professional renewal credit. Capacity limited to 12 participants to ensure physical distancing; face coverings are required.
