This half-day workshop is an opportunity for museum education professionals to transform their relationship to the uncertainty we’re all living with. Participants will select from a series of short exercises, each using one of the following modalities to help address uncertainty:- Encounter the New with Curiosity
- Accept Impermanence
- Remix & Rewrite Your Story
- Imagine Alternatives
- Learn to Play as a Grown-Up
After these exercises, participants will engage in small-group work to use what they’ve learned from the previous exercises in a hypothetical scenario created at random.

About the Presenter
"Find Your Way Through Uncertainty" is facilitated by Rachel Ropeik, an educator and facilitator with over 20 years of experience in learning design, group facilitation, and leadership development. Her professional background includes senior roles in major cultural institutions such as the Aspen Art Museum, Guggenheim Museum, and Brooklyn Museum, as well as stints at the Museum of Modern Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Since 2021, she has worked independently with individuals and organizations to design and facilitate programs that support adaptive capacity, reflective leadership, and humane approaches to change. Her facilitation style emphasizes psychological safety, intellectual rigor, and practical application. Clients consistently highlight her ability to synthesize complex ideas in real time, to foster trust within groups, and to create learning environments that are both challenging and supportive.
